Weekly therapy plus messaging, $119 a week

Weekly live video therapy plus messaging between sessions with a neurodivergent-informed therapist.

From $90out of pocket after your rebate
10rebated sessions a calendar year with a plan
24 hoursnotice to cancel without charge

In brief. The Inner Help weekly plan gives you one live video session every week with a neurodivergent-informed counsellor, ADHD coach or provisional psychologist, plus messaging with that therapist between sessions. It costs $119 a week, billed every four weeks, and you can cancel any time. It is not Medicare rebatable and is not offered by psychologists or social workers, who work per session with your rebate lodged for you; see the therapy page.

What is included

A weekly live session

A scheduled video session with your therapist every week, at a regular time that suits you. Same therapist each week, so you never have to start from the beginning.

Messaging between sessions

Write to your therapist when something happens mid-week. Share a win, ask a question, or work through something before it grows. Your therapist replies within their stated response time.

Matched to you

A short questionnaire matches you to a therapist from our roster. If the fit is not right, we rematch you at no cost.

Cancel any time

No lock-in. Cancel from your account and your weekly plan ends at the close of the current four-week billing period.

How a week works

Most people settle into a rhythm like this:

1

Your session

Fifty minutes on video with your therapist. You set the agenda together. Your therapist can send a short written summary afterwards if that helps you hold on to what was covered.

2

The days between

Try something you agreed on. Notice what happens. Message your therapist if you get stuck, want to share progress, or need to think out loud.

3

Next session

Pick up where you left off, including anything from your messages. Over the weeks this builds a continuous thread rather than a series of separate appointments.

You can move your session time if a week gets messy. Sessions do not roll over, but we will always try to reschedule within the same week.

Messaging: what it is and is not

Messaging is part of therapy, not a replacement for it. It works well for short check-ins, questions and reflections. Longer or heavier topics are usually best saved for the live session, and your therapist may suggest that.

  • Your therapist reads and replies to messages on working days. Typical response time is within one working day.
  • Messages are not monitored overnight, on weekends or on public holidays.
  • Messaging is not a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, call 000. For 24-hour support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
  • Your therapist will tell you their own messaging hours at your first session, so you know what to expect.

Boundaries help therapy work. Clear response times mean your therapist can give your messages real attention rather than a rushed reply. If you find yourself needing faster or more frequent contact, tell your therapist. That is useful information and may mean a different plan suits you better.

Weekly plan or per session?

Weekly plan
$119
a week, billed every four weeks ($476 per four weeks)
  • Weekly live video session
  • Messaging between sessions
  • Psychologist or counsellor, same price
  • Cancel any time
  • Not Medicare rebatable
Per session
from $90
out of pocket after your Medicare rebate
  • Book sessions as you need them at the practitioner's published fee (guide $150 to $260)
  • Medicare rebate with a Mental Health Treatment Plan: $101.55 registered psychologist, $149.05 clinical psychologist, $89.50 social worker or OT (from 1 July 2026), up to 10 a calendar year, lodged for you
  • Counsellor and coach sessions not rebatable
  • No messaging between sessions

Put simply: if you want weekly sessions and mid-week contact, the weekly plan costs less per week than a full-fee session with a counsellor or coach and includes messaging. If you have a Mental Health Treatment Plan and see a psychologist, the per-session route can cost less out of pocket for up to 10 sessions a year, without messaging. Many people use a Medicare plan first and move to the weekly plan when their rebated sessions run out. Our pricing page lays this out side by side.

Cancelling and pausing

Cancel any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the current four-week period. There is no fee to cancel and no questions asked, though your therapist will offer a final session to close well if you want one. If you need a break rather than an ending, ask about pausing.

Why is the weekly plan not Medicare rebatable?

Medicare rebates apply to individual psychology sessions billed under a Mental Health Treatment Plan. A weekly plan that bundles sessions and messaging is not structured that way. If a rebate matters to you, choose per session with a psychologist.

Can I message as much as I like?

There is no hard limit. Messaging works best for short check-ins and questions. Your therapist replies within their stated response time, usually within one working day.

What if I miss a session?

Tell us as early as you can and we will try to reschedule within the same week. Sessions do not carry over into the next week.

Can I choose a counsellor instead of a psychologist?

Yes. On the weekly plan the price is the same. The matching questionnaire takes your preference into account.

Is there a minimum term?

No. You are billed every four weeks and can cancel at any point. Your access continues to the end of the period already paid.
