Can I use Medicare?
With a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP you can claim a rebate for up to ten sessions a calendar year with a registered or clinical psychologist, mental health social worker or occupational therapist: $101.55 a session for a registered psychologist and $149.05 for a clinical psychologist from 1 July 2026. Counsellors and coaches are not Medicare-eligible. Psychiatrist consultations attract their own rebates.
Who can assess autism in adults in Sydney?
Adult autism assessment is usually carried out by a psychologist, psychiatrist or a multidisciplinary team following the Autism CRC national guideline. There is no Medicare item that covers the whole assessment for adults, so most people pay privately; many practitioners here list autism as an area of practice.
Why are there no ratings or reviews?
Australian advertising rules for regulated health services do not allow testimonials. Profiles describe training, approach and areas of practice instead, and the finder never ranks or promotes listings.
