Inner Help will offer online ADHD assessment for adults in Newcastle from 2026: two to three video sessions with an ADHD-trained GP who has read your intake first, workup (referral, ECG, bloods) at a clinic near you, and a psychiatrist who oversees diagnosis and any decision about medication. It is not open yet. The price and the full process will be published before anyone books. Therapy and support are available now and do not need a diagnosis.
What the assessment will be
GP-led, with psychiatrist oversight. Assessment, diagnosis and any prescribing are separate decisions. You receive a written report and a letter for your GP whatever the outcome. If ADHD is not diagnosed, you are told plainly and pointed to what might help instead.
New South Wales is rolling out GP-led adult ADHD diagnosis and prescribing for trained GPs; our model is designed for that pathway.
